šŸ…Breaking down Three High-Profile House Settlement Objections

Roster Limits, Livvy Dunne, and Arthur Bryant

Hey there,

Unless you’re a college sports dork like me, you may not have noticed that we just passed a very important milestone: On January 31st , we sailed through the House Settlement’s objection period. Let me explain what that means.

Even though the House Settlement was granted preliminary approval in the fall, the deal is far from ā€œcomplete.ā€ The last few months, potential objectors to the deal have been able to submit their formal objections – well, until the last day of January. So now we have about 35 formal legal objections to the terms and conditions of the House Settlement.

Today I think it’d be helpful to go over ta few of those objections broadly. What do these groups want out of the future of college sports? How has the deal as-currently-constructed fallen short of those ideals? Let’s break it down.
