šŸ…Breaking down Three High-Profile House Settlement Objections

Roster Limits, Livvy Dunne, and Arthur Bryant

Hey there,

Unless you’re a college sports dork like me, you may not have noticed that we just passed a very important milestone: On January 31st, we sailed through the House Settlement’s objection period. Let me explain what that means.

Even though the House Settlement was granted preliminary approval in the fall, the deal is far from ā€œcomplete.ā€ The last few months, potential objectors to the deal have been able to submit their formal objections – well, until the last day of January. So now we have about 35 formal legal objections to the terms and conditions of the House Settlement.

Today I think it’d be helpful to go over ta few of those objections broadly. What do these groups want out of the future of college sports? How has the deal as-currently-constructed fallen short of those ideals? Let’s break it down.
