A new bill would allow Ivy Leagues to dominate college football
Hey there,
If you’ve been following the last two editions, you’ll know we’ve been locked in on a bill proposed by Michael Baumgartner a few weeks ago. If passed, Baumgartner alleges the Restore College Sports Act will “restore equity and integrity to college sports,” but we’re not taking his word for it. We wanted to look at every piece of the bill so that, if passed, we’d know exactly what would happen.
The first edition we talked about the bill’s headline: abolishing and replacing the NCAA. Then last edition we talked about the political ramifications with installing a commissioner, as well as the redistributionist compensation structure. Today, we’re hitting on one particular clause of the bill, which would cap coaching salaries. Let’s get into it.
